"Yoga and Chanting for Destitute Children" - with Swami Charitable Trust

The course was designed for betterment of the health of these children and improving their academic performance. These children displayed familiarity with names of asanas, well-coordinated group performance, excellent chanting, improved attitude etc, and the overall project results were overwhelmingly favorable.

"Yoga for Low-Income Group Girls" - at Valluvar Gurukulam Girls Higher Secondary School

The project conducted for 150 low-income group girls, focused on their overall development with specific aim to improve their academic performance. The participants reported enhanced concentration, focus, & memory, positive attitude and increased energy on regular practice of yogasanas.

"Yoga for Hearing Impaired" - at Ability Foundation

The program basically aimed at enhancing the confidence level of a group of hearing impaired. Simple asanas and vinyasas with breathing, pranayama techniques, pronunciation of sounds/ asana names during practice etc played a significant role in their overall improvement, comments the faculty.

"Yoga for Down's Syndrome Children" - at Down's Syndrome Association of Tamilnadu

The program intended to observe the changes associated with yoga practice on these children, and also to improve their mental and physical capabilities as much as possible through yoga. Though they initially found the practice sessions difficult, the course that had postures with lot of movements & sounds made them enjoy the classes. There was good progress in their asana practice and more specifically in their general attitude, feel the faculties.

"Yoga for Rural Children" - at Center for Development of Women

The program focused on the overall well-being and general health of these underprivileged rural children. The children were very fast in grasping the asanas, exhibited good flexibility and almost performed the postures in the classical way. There was tremendous change in their confidence level observes the faculty .

"Yoga for Physically and Mentally Disabled" - at Amar Seva Sangam (ASS), based at Ayikudi village in Tirunelveli district

Yoga classes were held for five groups of participants namely: spastic children, polio affected, school children, vocational training group and inmates of the ASS field centers. Our faculties held the classes at the center premises in Tirunelveli, and they were quite satisfied with the overall performance of all participants.

"Yoga for Underprivileged Working Children" - with Arunodhaya

Creating awareness about general health & well-being for these children deprived of their basic rights was the aim of the program. Considering the workload and background of the participants, though the project initially posed us a challenge, the objectives were reasonably accomplished.
