A sample group of Asthma patients was selected at random and was trained in selected Yogasana and Pranayama techniques. The investigator with the help of objective measures and subjective reports, periodically evaluated the progress of these patients. A detailed case history, illness history, physical examinations, objective measures of preliminary efficiency and subjective states of well-being and comfort were evaluated scientifically. The data was collected and statistical analysis revealed that the training was effective in improving subjective well being and breathing capacity in young asthmatic patients and mild conditions. Severe asthmatics required more regulated modified practice to show improvement.
