This four-week
programme presents the principles of yoga, based on the
teachings of Yogacharya Krishnamacharya. This programme
is addressed to participants who desire to take up a serious
study of Yoga with an ultimate aim of becoming teachers.
While there is a popular misconception that yoga means practice
of certain postures only, the Yoga Sutra presents Yoga as
a means to relieve one of pain and suffering The Yoga Sutra
gives a multiplicity of tools including Asana, Pranayama
and Dyana.

This four-week programme provides an insight into
the rich and varied dimensions of yoga, its value as a timeless
and universal philosophy, and its practical relevance.
The course will comprise six sessions every day (Monday
- Friday only), which will include

Asana and
pranayama practice

The theoretical
foundations of asana and pranayama

Lectures
on the philosophy of yoga as given in Yoga Sutra.

Vedic chanting.

Application
of Tools of Yoga (Theory)

Meditative
practice.
Guest lectures on different aspects
of Indian culture will also be held on select evenings
"This course
is non-residential and participants will have to make their
own arrangements for boarding and lodging. Breakfast will
be provided by KYM on weekdays for the duration of the course.
Registration for the course will be closed two months prior
to the date of commencement of the course, or as soon as
it gets filled up, whichever is earlier. Owing to our focus
on providing participants with the highest quality of learning
experience, we limit participation in all our courses. Consequently,
our courses are almost always filled up much before the
last date of registration. It is in your best interest to
register well in advance to secure a confirmed spot. It
is suggested that you keep checking our website to know
the status of course registrations. Participants who register
after the course is filled up will be placed on the waiting
list and will be accommodated pending cancellations, if
any.
Cancellations and refunds
In the unlikely event that
you cancel your registration before the last date of registration, an
administrative fee of US$ 50 will be retained, while the remaining amount
will be refunded. You may also choose to transfer this remaining amount
(your deposit minus administrative fee of US$ 50) to a future course within
the next twelve months of the course you are registering for, subject to the
availability of slot in the next programme. This transfer will be allowed
only once after which no further transfers or refund will be possible.

In case you cancel after the last date for registration , there will be absolutely no transfer or refund of the registration deposit.
The course fee has to be paid
fully before the commencement of the programme.
Fees once paid will not be
refunded if a participant decides to cancel his participation after the
commencement of the programme.
