Universal Yet Personal Universal Yet Personal
A four-week intensive

This four-week intensive presents the principles of yoga, as taught by Krishnamacharya and also shares valuable knowledge on how to use these tools to suit differing needs and individuals. This intensive will be invaluable to those just initiated to yoga, while also serving as a rich source of teaching material for more advanced practitioners as well.

The course will comprise at least six sessions every day (Monday - Friday only), which will include asana and pranayama practice, the theoretical foundations of asana and pranayama, a class on the philosophy of yoga that will draw from various texts (especially the Yoga Sutra and the Yoga Rahasya), a session on vedic chanting, the application of the tools of yoga to suit different needs and meditative practices. All these group classes will be held at one of the halls at our center. In case the group size requires that we divide the practice sessions into two groups, we will do so to facilitate better attention.

If you want us to address any specific health problem(s) you may have, It is suggested that you come early (after writing to us in advance). We will be able to help you develop a private practice that will be appropriate for your needs. These classes will be given at an extra cost.

On select evenings there will be special-interest lectures, music and dance performances, rare video presentations of our teacher T Krishnamacharya, asana demonstrations and more.
